Sunshine Pool Commemoration Ceremony

INVITATION to Supporters of Sunshine Community Commemoration Ceremony

Sunshine Community Building the 50m Outdoor Pool 1958-60

Sunday, 30 July
1.30 pm
Grassy area around the pool - behind Kennedy street, Sunshine

The Commemoration Ceremony will pay respect to all those people, schools, community organisations and groups, unions, local businesses, churches, Lions Clubs, etc. who between 1958-1960 raised 7,500 pounds and much more than that in voluntary labour and materials to fund and build the 50m outside pool for the benefit of future generations of Sunshine residents.

The service will also call on Brimbank Council and the Bracks government to announce in writing a plan for the proper replacement of the old outdoor 50m pool that the Sunshine community fought and worked so hard to get in the 1960s.

Please distribute this invitation widely and bring your friends and family.
