Speakers:
  • Dr Mark Diesendorf teaches at the Institute of Environmental Studies at UNSW.
    Dr Diesendorf's new book presents the case that a mix of efficient energy use, renewable sources of energy and natural gas offers a clean and feasible energy future for Australia.
  • Alan Pears is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University.
    He will speak on technologies and policies for efficient energy use.

Support Union Radio

Radiothon AT IT AGAIN! 4-17 JUNE.
3CR 855AM profiles union issues like no other radio in Melbourne.
Each week 10 industrial programs go to air, run by experienced trade unionists who volunteer their time. These programs provide a genuine voice for those on the frontline of anti-union practices, covering disputes the mass media won't touch, like the current dispute with Elliot Engineering.

As John Pilger describes,
"3CR is an admirable, critical part of the media that offers the Australian people a genuine diversity of opinion denied them by the so-called mainstream".

This year 3CR is At It Again! with its annual Radiothon fundraiser. To continue its broadcasts, free of government and corporate censorship, the station needs to raise $200,000.
