"The Walk of Hearts" Thursday Sept 14 12noon-2pm Treasury Gardens Melbourne "The Walk of Hearts" is a statewide effort linking all Neighbourhood Houses in a Victoria-wide web representing community connectedness. Every local community will publicly express the importance of their Neighbourhood House to them. Houses will walk or travel in some way during the weeks August 31 - September 13 with a symbolic " heart of their community" to Melbourne finishing at Treasury Gardens on Thursday, 14 September. The campaign aims to gain the support of all-Victorian political parties to fund all Neighbourhood Houses so that they can be open 5 days a week. "The Walk of Hearts" will culminate at the"Big House" (a symbolic house set up in Treasury Gardens) in Treasury Gardens, on Thursday 14th from 12 noon -2 pm where all local Members of Parliament and candidates in the coming State election are invited to come and give their whole-hearted support for their local Neighbourhood House. more info: Mary Robb projects@anhlc.asn.au | www.anhlc.asn.au |
