Celebrate Jack Thomas' court victory
|
Friday 8 September
6pm onwards Trades Hall Crn Lygon & Victoria Sts Carlton Jack's convictions have been quashed on appeal but his persecution by the Australian government continues...show your solidarity and join us on Friday 8th September at Trades Hall to show your opposition to control orders and to celebrate Jack Thomas' court victory over the Howard government. Defenders of civil liberties and lovers of freedom are all invited to an evening of music, defiance and solidarity with Jack and all victims of the terror laws. Music, door prize, finger food. Alcohol and alcohol free rooms. Donation on entry - proceeds to Jack Thomas' family for their continuing legal expenses. Despite the ongoing harassment from the government, Jack is out of prison and all convictions against his have been quashed. We don't get to celebrate victories very often these days so let's make the most of this one, and show that we won't let the government undermine this fantastic legal and political win! more info: Civil Rights Defence 0407 856 628 | www.civilrightsdefence.org |
