They contributed enormously to create a spirit of mutual aid, of no compromise, of direct action, of grass roots movement amongst the working class. The film integrates the songs of the period with photographs, newsreel footage, and contemporary interviews with remaining IWW members. Careful documentation of the cultural, political, labor and legal events of the time make this work an invaluable record of an unforgettable era of American labour history and working class struggle .
