Fire Fighters Seeking EBA

The United Fire Fighters Union are calling for community support for action at their East Melbourne depot. The highly skilled firies have drafted an EBA that they are happy with, but their employer, the Melbourne Fire Brigade is refusing to implement the EBA, insisting that firies remain on individual contracts instead.

The United Fire Fighters Union is also calling for a better training facility instead of the new $70 million Burnley training center, which the UFU claim has been built on contaminated land that presents health and safety problems for workers.
